Puppy Family Page

Congratulations!!! We are so happy that you have decided to add a Mountain Creek Labradoodle to your family! Below you will find more information about our puppy selection process, and what you will need to do to bring your puppy home. We know that when you pick your new puppy up it is going to be an exciting day, and this page is here to help make your and your puppy’s big day go smoothly.

We look forward to sharing this exciting time with you! We will be updating our website with new pictures each week. We do aim for Monday's to share the new pictures (although sometimes it might be a day off) so be sure to check on Mondays to see how the puppies have grown!

We are also here to answer questions, provide information and tips and advice. Email is the best way for us to correspond, due to the level of time and care our puppies take. Feel free to email us anytime with any questions you may have, regarding your new labradoodle puppy.

IMPORTANT NOTE: We spend almost the entire day with our puppies starting before breakfast and ending right before bed. Caring for, teaching, socializing and training our puppies is our number one priority. We do also love to be available to our puppy families to answer questions and offer info and advice.

Please feel free to email us any questions you may have. We set Mondays aside to go through and answer emails. If you email us more than once during the week, that's not a problem! We will go back and look at all emails that have been sent over that past week and address all questions. Sometimes we may be able to respond sooner and will always do so if we can.

If you don't receive a response right away, please know that we have received it and will get back to you by the following Monday at the latest. We appreciate your patience!
We strive to have a website filled with information for our families.

Here are some helpful links to pages on our website where you may find the answer to your questions. Please be sure to review these pages.

Picking Out Your Puppy

We want you to be happy with your puppy choice. While we feel it is important for each family to have a say and pick their perfect puppy, we are happy to offer any insight and answer any questions our families have about the puppies.

We spend 24 hours a day with the puppies and know their personalities well. We will work with each family and help them pick the puppy with the personality best suited for them!

Families pick out their puppy based on their spot on the wait list. If you are 3rd on the list for males, then you would have third choice for the males. If you are third on the list for females, then you would have third choice for the females, and so on.

We begin the puppy selection process at 5 weeks old. If you have not picked your puppy by 6 weeks of age, we will give the families below you on the list the opportunity to pick before you.

Puppy Food / Feeding Schedule

We are feeding the puppies 4health with Wholesome Grains Puppy Lamb Formula Dry Dog Food. We provide a small sample for you to take home with you, but it is a good idea to have some ready for your new puppy when he/she comes home.

CLICK HERE to purchase on Chewy.com

You don’t have to feed him/her the same food we do, but be sure to transition your new puppy to the new food by mixing it with the sample we send you home with. If you don’t do this he/she will probably end up having some tummy troubles.

The puppies are eating two times a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. You should aim for a morning and evening feeding schedule, but the exact times should be according to your schedule. It’s important to set a good routine from day one. We do recommend not feeding your new puppy past 6:30 pm. This will help your new puppy sleep through the night without any accidents.

Health Guarantee

CLICK HERE to view our health guarantee. You don’t need to sign a copy as it is an implied agreement that is included with every puppy that we send home.

If you prefer to have a signed copy we’d be happy to email you an electronic version that can be signed online and will provide you with a signed digital copy for your records.

Things You'll Need For Your New Puppy

Your new puppy will need a crate (if you plan on crate training), plenty of toys, a collar, a leash, food and water bowl and a brush. A puppy playpen is also a great item to have. It gives your puppy more space than a crate, but still offers a form of confinement. To get more detailed information about the things your puppy will need, please see our recommended products page.

This page will show you toys, food bowls, dog beds, crates etc. You do not have to purchase the products through this page, but it does offer specifics on what to look for when you go puppy shopping.

Recommended Crate Sizes:
Pp to 30lbs - Full Grown Size: 30" long crate. Crates with dividers are preferred.
30lbs and up - Full Grown Size: 36" long crate. Crates with dividers are preferred.

Puppy collar sizing is as follows:
Up to 30lbs Full Grown Size: 8" - 14"
30lbs and up Full Grown Size: 10" - 16

Puppy Shot Records

We will provide you with the shot records and de-worming paperwork at the time of pick-up. When you take your puppy to it’s new puppy vet visit give the shot records to your vet and they will let you know when to bring your puppy back in for subsequent shots. Most Vets will want to complete the shots at 9, 12 and possibly 15 weeks old. (15 week shot is for Rabies. Some Vets will do this at 12 weeks)

Final Payment Information

We accept Checks, Credit Cards, or a Cashiers Check.

Credit Card/Online Check – We charge a 3% fee on your total balance if you want to pay your balance via online payment. This is to cover the fee that they charge us. Payment must be cleared one week in advance of puppy pick-up date.

Checks & Cashiers Check – If paying by check or cashiers check, please make checks or cashiers checks out to Mountain Creek Labradoodles or Tom German. They must be cleared one week before puppy pick-up date. Our mailing address is 419 Sawmill Rd., Gray Court, SC 29645.

Scheduling a Pick-Up Date

An estimate of the go home date will be given prior to the puppies arrival. Once the puppies arrive, the exact pick up date will be given in the "litter announcement" email. That date will be made available on the calendar (see below button for calendar link). Be sure to book your pick up time asap, to ensure the time you prefer is available.

*A note about appointment times: We have set pick up times because outside of the pick up times, we have a routine and responsibilities to keep with our other puppies/training puppies. We also usually meet with our flight nanny before or after our scheduled pick ups making any time adjustments very difficult. Every now and then we can accommodate a different time. The sooner the request is made, the better. This doesn't guarantee we can meet the request but it is easier to adjust our schedule ahead of time. Requests made less than two weeks before the pick up date will not be able to be accomodated.

Puppies must be picked up on their scheduled " go home dates".

To set-up a pick-up time, click the button below and select a time from the pick-up date that is on your puppy's litter arrival page.
